What is Zaweza known for?+
It is a directory of independent African fashion houses. Every brand here is reviewed before it goes live, so what you browse is the real workshop behind the piece — the founders, the process, the collection.
Do I buy through Zaweza?+
No. Zaweza introduces you to the house; the piece itself is arranged with the brand directly. Open a conversation from any brand or piece page and you're talking to the people who make it.
How do I win a discount?+
The Rewards tab gives you one scratch card a week. Every card wins — it lands on a brand that has opted into the programme, and you get a code for a percentage off anything in their collection. Show the code to the brand in your conversation.
How long does a reward code last?+
Fourteen days from the moment you scratch it. Codes are single-use and tied to your account, so they can't be passed on.
What does Saved do?+
It follows the brand. Saved brands collect in one place, and the house sees its follower count grow — the closest thing to walking past a window twice.
Are the reviews real?+
Every review is written by a signed-in account and read by a moderator before it appears. Brands can reply once, in public, under their own name.
I make clothes. How do I list my brand?+
Apply to list, then fill in your story, founders, and collection. An admin reviews the profile before it's published — usually within a few days.
Does it cost a brand anything to be listed?+
No. Listing is free while we're building the directory out.
